Little Shop of Horrors:Directed by Ginger Morris

SummerStock Austin celebrates its fifth season by presenting one of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, Little Shop of Horrors. This affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a house-hold name, thanks to a highly successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who redefined the animated musical film with Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast and Aladdin. Charming, tuneful and hilarious, Little Shop Of Horrors never fails to entertain.

      Of all the Little Shop productions I've seen this production is the best. The space was used well, the vocals were absolutely breath taking, and the staging was original and captivating. Every number... Expand

      Of all the Little Shop productions I've seen this production is the best. The space was used well, the vocals were absolutely breath taking, and the staging was original and captivating. Every number had the potential to stop the show. I fully intend on going to see it again before the end of the run-- SO WORTH IT. Collapse

      i really enjoyed this production of Little Shop of Horrors. You'll find yourself really rooting for poor Seymour and Audrey and laughing out loud at Mr. Mushnik. The "dance" at the end of Mushnik... Expand

      i really enjoyed this production of Little Shop of Horrors. You'll find yourself really rooting for poor Seymour and Audrey and laughing out loud at Mr. Mushnik. The "dance" at the end of Mushnik and Son had pretty much everyone bent over in laughter. The dentist was scarily demented and the plant was awesome! The stage was small but very well used - especially the scaffolding. I was really impressed by the actors who could stay frozen in place for so long while the action went on around them. It's a great summer show. Collapse
