Add Review/Comment
No other band today has the same credentials for playing traditional music as The Travelin’ McCourys. As the sons of bluegrass legend Del McCoury, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and Rob McCoury on banjo continue their father’s work—a lifelong dedication to the power of bluegrass music to bring joy into people’s lives. And with fiddler Jason Carter and bassist Alan Bartram, the ensemble is loved and respected by the bluegrass faithful. Known for their individual prowess on their instruments and their collaborations with numerous musical icons including Vince Gill, the Allman Brothers and Phish, they blend the best of the Appalachian tradition with the improvisational magic of jazz. Astounding live performances help demonstrate why critics and musicians across the country hail them as the best bluegrass band in the world.
