In addition to 40 hours of quality improvisation, there will be 40 hours of raising money hand over fist.  Audiences and supporters of improv in Austin will be offered a variety of ways to financially demonstrate their patronage throughout the weekend, including ticket sales, a raffle, a giving tree, the Best Seat in the House, a pancake breakfast and more.  10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Austin Improv Collective, a local nonprofit dedicated to facilitating improvisation in Austin, Texas (www.austinimprov.com).  A further 10% will go to Theatre Action Project, a team of professionally trained artists and educators that offers creative arts and education programs for social change to over 15,000 people every year (www.theatreactionproject.org).

    This year's eight marathon players:

    • Andy Crouch plays with Junk and is the director of the Hideout's improv training program.
    • Caitlin Sweet plays with Topanga, an all women longform group out of New York City.
    • Curtis Luciani founded the sketch troupe Your Terrific Neighbors and co-directed the Hideout's current run of Improvised Shakespeare.
    • Jeremy Lamb plays with Available Cupholders and is the founder and producer of the Austin's national improv festival, Out of Bounds.
    • Kaci Beeler plays with Parallelogramophonograph and is the director of design for the new Hideout.
    • Kareem Badr plays with Parallelogramophonograph and is the general manager of the new Hideout in addition to being one of the three new owners.
    • Matt Pollock plays with Improv for Evil.
    • Troy Miller plays with Junk and is co-corporate director for the new Hideout.
