If you were related to Chris Rock—by most accounts, the strongest, most influential comedian of his generation—you’d have to be immensely talented or enormously bold (or both) to pursue a career in comedy. Chris’ younger brother, Tony Rock, fits the bill, and then some. If Tony has contended with any major struggles by operating in the shadow of Chris, he certainly hasn’t let on. Indeed, he’s forged his own path and distinctive career, and years ago dispensed with any concern that he might be riding his famous brother’s coattails.
