Reawaken your love affair with the Ocean. From the makers of Sleeping Beauty and Dark Goddess comes a spell-binding new theatrical work that celebrates stories of the Ocean. Follow the journey of “Gulf Girl” as she encounters powerful oceanic deities and otherworldly spirits from diverse global mythologies. This extraordinary cast of mystical characters lures the spectator to dive deep and discover treasures within the history, magic, and exploration of the precious Ocean. All Oceans are one Ocean.

      Oceana is filled with the heart and spirit of Mother Earth. A wonderful exploration of the world myths surrounding our love of the planet and ocean, and how today's society has forgotten how to take... Expand

      Oceana is filled with the heart and spirit of Mother Earth. A wonderful exploration of the world myths surrounding our love of the planet and ocean, and how today's society has forgotten how to take care of her. The costumes are lovely and the dances made me wish I were a Mermaid. The Selkie -Kat Craft- was a joy to watch and her story, both filled with joy and sadness, was one of my favorite parts of the entire production. So put on your SCUBA Gear and head to the Vortex for an evening of underwater adventure that just might save the world. Collapse

      The lights, the set, the costumes, all were beautiful as you are transported to Oceana. The fire dancing by Pele was nicely choreographed. I felt that the sirens (who's voices were all great) could... Expand

      The lights, the set, the costumes, all were beautiful as you are transported to Oceana. The fire dancing by Pele was nicely choreographed. I felt that the sirens (who's voices were all great) could have been utilized better in telling the background of the ocean goddesses. I felt that I was having to play catch up often with figuring out who represented what, and from what part. The exception was the story of the Selkie which was very well told and acted well by Kat Craft. Collapse
