I’ll Be Seeing You is an original 1940’s musical/musical revue from TexARTS’ Todd Dellinger which received its world premiere to sold-out, wildly enthusiastic audiences in 2008. It weaves the narratives of two now-grown neighbor children of World War II with letters to & from the home front, with slides, videos and popular holiday tunes of the era in a sparkling and warm family show that is sure to become a tradition for the Austin region. This union production weaves Austin’s great musical theater talents as well as youth performers from TexARTS’ acclaimed music, theater and dance academy program with great holiday cheer and reminiscence.

      Hey! Austin! Look west, to the ‘burbs. There’s competition and quality in Lakeway for area entertainment dollars. Zach Theatre’s “Rockin’ Christmas Party” is not the only holiday stage... Expand

      Hey! Austin! Look west, to the ‘burbs. There’s competition and quality in Lakeway for area entertainment dollars. Zach Theatre’s “Rockin’ Christmas Party” is not the only holiday stage show worthy of a $30-$56 price tag. Just when you think that this limited black box showcase – snugly ensconced in crowded strip center will be unable to contain a show with this much heart, you’d be wrong. Okay, it’s officially the Kam & James Morris Theater. “I’ll Be Seeing You, A 1940s Christmas Musical,” now in its second seasonal offering, is somehow bigger, better and classier than the ’08 version. Hat’s off to Todd Dellinger, Exec. Dir. and Robin Lewis, Artistic Dir. (both Cofounders of TexARTS) for smoothly mixing professional singers and actors with 17 bright and talented students from the 620 enrolled at this four-year-old academy for music, theater and dance. TexARTS has more than 530 registrations to its “Off Broadway Series” and boasts a regular audience nearing 1,000 (more) Collapse

      . . . A 1940's Christmas Musical” should NOT be missed. The show is a nostalgic look at the WWII period through music, dance, photographs and poignant letters. The intimate TexArts theatre may be located in a Lakeway strip center, but it looks like pure Broadway inside. Professional singers and dancers (along with some cute children from the TexArts Academy) perform an amazing show. Robin Lewis' choreography and the extensive costumes are a highlight. This heartwarming musical will put you in the Christmas spirit, and you will leave with a song in your heart. Collapse
