Grease, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey's infectious musical, is performed by students (aged 9 through college) of TexARTS acclaimed Musical Theater Academy Summer Intensive under the direction of Broadway veteran Robin Lewis. Set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School, Grease follows 10 working-class kids as they navigate the complexities of youthful passion, cars and drive-ins. One of Broadway's longest running shows, Grease went on to become a blockbuster movie and continues to be a favorite in schools, theaters, and summer stock all across the US.
