    CANCELED! For the 2009 Pforzheimer-Cranfill Lecture, Ron Rosenbaum, author of The Shakespeare Wars, presents “Did Shakespeare Revise? And Why We Should Care” on Thursday, April 23, at 7 p.m. at the Harry Ransom Center. Rosenbaum is the author of seven books, most recently The Shakespeare Wars; Explaining Hitler, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year; and four collections of non-fiction written for The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, and The New Yorker, among other publications. He has taught writing at Columbia University, New York University, and the University of Chicago. He lives in New York City and writes a bi-weekly column for Slate. Seating is free, but limited. This program will be webcast at www.hrc.utexas.edu/webcast. The Carl H. and Lily Pforzheimer Lecture The Carl H. and Lily Pforzheimer Lecture at the Ransom Center is an annual lecture series featuring a prominent authority on bibliography, book arts, libraries, and related topics. The Cranfill Shakespeare Lecture The Cranfill Shakespeare Lecture is an annual lecture in the area of Shakespeare Studies given in memory of Thomas M. Cranfill, a distinguished Shakespeare professor who taught for many years in The University of Texas at Austin English Department.
