Celebrating 10 Years of Austin Theatresports/We Could Be Heroes/Heroes of Comedy/The Hideout Theatre
We're celebrating 10 years of improv comedy at the Hideout Theatre and the dozens of performers, hundreds of students and thousands of audience members that have been a part of our community.
Thursday through Saturday the Hideout is holding the 2009 Iron Improviser Tournament in which 12 of Austin's elite improvisers go head to head for the title of Iron Improviser. This year's competitors are Shana Merlin, Sean Hill, David Lampe, Asaf Ronen, Craig Kotfas, Troy Miller, Chris Allen, Lauren Zinn, Kacey Samiee, Monique Daviau, Roy Janik and Kaci Beeler. They will compete in three scored formats, accumulating points until the winner is decided in Saturday's Maestro Improv show.
Saturday at 10pm is our 10th Anniversary Show starring performers new and old from the past decade. We'll slowly peel away the layers of newer performers until we're down to the founding members of Austin Theatresports back in 1999.

Show Schedule

Friday at 8pm and 10pm is Theatresports
Saturday at 8pm is Maestro where an Iron Improviser will be crowned
Saturday at 10pm is the Hideout Theatre's 10th Anniversary Reunion Show starring a decade's worth of improvisers
