Prize-winning documentary photographers and photojournalism professors discuss what photographs reveal about society, conflict, and change. Donna DeCesare is an accomplished photojournalist with a focus on Latin America and at-risk children. She is widely known for her reporting on the spread of Los Angeles gangs in Central America. Dennis Darling serves on the advisory board for the Texas Photographers Society and has been editor of the Journal of Texas Photographic Society. He has published two books of his work: "Desperate Pleasures" and "Chameleon With Camera." Eli Reed’s 30-year career as a photojournalist took him around the world for numerous national and international publications. Reed, along with Sebastião Salgado, had been with the elite international photojournalists collective, Magnum Photos. The subjects of his photographs include the lives of African Americans, social justice, and the effects of war on society.
