Curator Ángel Quesada hosts the opening reception of the Enmascarado, an homage to the Spanish wrestling style Lucha Libré featuring the works of 11 artists from Texas, California, Mexico, and South America. Lucha Libré is the Spanish style of professional wrestling, where luchadores launch rapid and spectacular holds and high-flying moves under the disguise of colorful mask.
Artists include: Beto Gonzales (San Antonio, TX), José Rodríguez (Maracaibo, Venezuela), Héctor Hernández (Laredo, TX), Ángel Quesada ( Los Angeles, CA), Fidencio Durán (Austin, TX), Marcela Morán (Laredo, TX),(Federico Archuleta (El Paso, TX), Enrique Martínez (San Antonio, TX), Gerald López (Corpus Christi, TX), Matthew Rodríguez (Austin, TX), and Faustinus Deraet (Mexico City, MX/ Belgium)s and crowd-cheering heroic bravado.
