Hyde Park Theatre and Capital T Theatre are proud to present the Austin premiere of David Harrower’s extraordinary, much-heralded new play, Blackbird. Fifteen years ago, Una and Ray had a relationship. They haven’t set eyes on each other since. Now she’s found him again. Ken Webster (Critics Table and B. Iden Payne Awards for Best Actor) and Xochitl Romero (who recently won rave reviews in Dog Sees God at HPT) star; Mark Pickell of Capital T Theatre (Mr. Marmalade, Happy Days) directs this astonishing play that won the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Play—London’s most prestigious theater award.

The Hyde Park Theatre is an actor’s theatre, intensely dedicated to the craft and to the challenge of the actor’s art. How else could one explain this production? Harrower’s dialogue crackles,... Expand

Really great production - I don't want to give too much away - needless to say, I am amazed at how well Hyde Park Theatre used their space and was not disappointed in the talented performances.... Expand
