Patti Labelle, the legendary American soul singer and songwriter, comes to The Long Center on Wednesday, October 1st at 8pm. Best known for her passionate stage performances and wide vocal range, Labelle has been an integral part of the American music scene since the 1970s. In recent years, her songs such as "Lady Marmalade" have been re-sung by the likes of Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Pink, Maya, and Nelly; Labelle re-sang her own words in a remake by Outkast.
