Music Under the Star, the popular World Music series, is back for a fifth hot season! Come out to The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum's Lone Star Plaza for a fabulous, family Friday in July with Austin Nights Brass Band. Touted as the only New Orleans style brass band that hails from Austin and produces a funk/blues/jazz sound that is a product of the cross-pollination of the sister cities of New Orleans and Austin that started in the fateful aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Set out your camp chairs and blankets under the Star and listen to local artists perform music from around the globe. Explore the three floors of exhibits - including the special exhibition Dallas: Power & Passion on Primetime TV.
