Austin Chamber Music Festival 2008: Blue Rhapsody Festival Opening Gala

The Opening Gala will feature Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with its original jazz band orchestration with Austin's own Peter Bay conducting Michelle Schumann on the piano. Also featured: a world premiere performance of Dan Welcher's Four Personal Ads, commissioned by Peter Bay for his wife, soprano Mela Dailey. Come for the music, stay for the fun! The gala reception with silent and live auction benefiting Austin Chamber Music Center's Academy and Workshop will follow the concert.
