The 12th Austin Chamber Music Festival is the ultimate summer getaway — and one of the nation's preeminent classical music festivals. There are ticketed and free events. Festival Artists (Steve Girko, Margaret & Felicity Coltman) July 17, Noon, Central Presbyterian Church, 200 E. 8th St. Tribute to Beat Generation w/ Tosca String Quartet July 17, 7:30 PM, UT Harry Ransom Center, 21st St. & Guadalupe Cecilia String Quartet Children's Concert July 23, 12:30 PM, Armstrong Community Music School, 901 Barton Springs Rd. Student Chamber Music Highlights July 24, Noon, Central Presbyterian Church, 200 E. 8th St. Cecilia String Quartet July 24, 7:30 PM, St. James Episcopal Church, 1941 Webberville Rd. ACMC Adult Amateur Ensembles July 31, Noon, Central Presbyterian Church, 200 E. 8th St. Ticketed events include world class artists include the Borromeo String Quartet, the Gryphon Trio and Austin's own Peter Bay.
