Incorporating various modes of storytelling (music, shadow, and expressive movement) with a moving narrative and historical details of the 1950s polio epidemic, 'No One Else in the Woods Tonight' is directed by Erin Meyer, with lighting by Steven Shirey, accented by Henna Chou on the cello. Audiences can anticipate a life-sized iron lung, a gruesome (and magical) autopsy, stunning visualizations that present one woman's take on the afterlife, and many more unexpected turns. Featuring Christian Gold Stagg, Philipe Coquet, Noel Gaulin, Andrew Varenhorst, & Kelli Bland. Previous [humdrum] productions include “FOOD/NO FOOD”, “The United States IS” (B. Iden Payne Award nominations: Outstanding Original Script, Lead Actor in a Drama), “Against My Will” (Austin Critic’s Table nomination: Ensemble Performance), and “Past Present Future Tense” (Austin Critic’s Table nomination: Movement). Payment Information: Thursdays are pay-what-you-wish. Cash or check only at the door.
