THEATRE
UTNT: UT New Theatre
April 18-April 27, 2008
Add Review/CommentUTNT celebrates the work of 3rd-year playwrights with three one-act plays; The Chev by Robert Sanchez, Split by Erica Saleh, and Why Koreans Don't Hug by Soo–Jin Lee. In Split, a woman's grasp on reality is upset when she realizes that her lover may not be who he says he is. Why Koreans Don’t Hug shares the tale of a Korean immigrant family who through an unexpected action from their Reverend is forced to deal with the dreaded, “elephant in the room,” and finally, The Chev asks, who will pay for the culture of convenience when the clerk behind the counter decides he can't take it anymore?
