Audio Inversions continues their third season of acclaimed avant-garde concerts with a concert featuring their 2007 Composition Competition winner Conrad Kehn at Austin Museum of Art-Downtown. Audio Inversions, a group of young music professionals, brings to the Austin music audience what many presenting organizations do not: dynamic and lesser-known music written by contemporary and nationally-acclaimed composers. Simply, the organization offers a breath of fresh air to contemporary music in Austin, working tirelessly to fill a void in the Central Texas musical panorama. Kehn, a composer, performer, and educator from the Denver area, will be in residence for the concert and will perform some of his works. Attendees of the Audio Inversions event will also be treated to an exclusive preview of the museum's new exhibition featuring contemporary art by emerging artists in Central Texas: New Art in Austin: 20 to Watch. AMOA's galleries (customarily closed to the public on Mondays) will be open only to Audio Inversions audience members on the night of the show - for free. For only $7-$10, attendees will experience an evening that will incite the senses and span the mediums of contemporary art. Important Information: Parking for this event will be available on the street (meters stop at 5:30pm) and at a garage at 9th and Brazos.
