THEATRE

Shakespeare, Politics and Texas
March 22, 2008
Add Review/CommentThe evening will consist of actors performing speeches from Julius Caesar, the orations of Brutus and Marc Antony, as well as politicians and academics commenting on their analysis of experience in contemporary public life. At the heart of the speeches is the 'Appeal to Emotion vs the Appeal to Reason.' Those appeals live on today. We are all too familiar with assassination, crisis and leaders who are considered potential tyrants.
