Nine-hundred-pound pieces of industrial plastic are used like Legos (R)  to create a barrier-bending installation reminiscent of Jessica Stockholder's work or John Chamberlain's car-crash expressionism. Serious practicality suddenly becomes playful and inviting.=0D=0A=Barton Barriers will be installed over an 8-hour period, March 13, from 9 am to 5 pm.  The public is invited to watch a team of artists install the work.=0D=0A==0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:6:30 to 9 pm=0D=0A==0D=0A==0D=0A=An opening reception for the public will be held on Saturday, March 13, from 6:30 to 9 pm at the site.
